This cash sum will now help to top up the funds for the £1 million pounds Gala Bingo have pledged to raise for Sue Ryder Care by the year 2010, and they will be trying to achieve this through lots of different events with the help of their employees and members and maybe other advertising campaigns like the one we have just seen with Mrs Obama.

Keiza Obama, stepmother of newly elected US President Barak Obama, went out to Washington last week for his inauguration ceremony and whilst she was there is has been reported that the president asked her to stay with him in the White House. As we know Keiza Obama loves her bingo and if she was to stay with her stepson, it has to be said that it is a real possibility that the game of online bingo could be played in the White House, especially with her association with Gala Bingo online, Mrs Obama must now have a fair amount of knowledge of how the game of online bingo works.

Speaking about her trip to the USA and meeting Barak, Keiza Obama said, “Barack said to me ‘Sorry it’s so cold. I want you to come back to Washington and stay with me and my family in the White House in the summer when it is warmer’. I am surprised and so excited to think I will be staying in the White House. It was also said in another moment a few minutes before Barak’s Inauguration took place, Keiza spoke to Barak again, and here she takes up the story herself, “Hi Mom, I’m happy you have been able to come. I wished him luck and told him he was in my prayers. I am amazed Barack found time for me on his big day. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. I felt so proud, and his father would have been so proud, too. Barack even said to me ‘That is a fantastic dress you are wearing’.”

Bingo in the White House, who would have thought that this would have even been possibility a few years ago or Gala Bingo being associated in a sense with the President of the United States of America, come to that.
