Online Bingo Sign Up Bonuses - Good or Bad?

Foxy Bingo are the latest online bingo site to withdraw their free £10 no deposit sign up bonus offer to new players registering at their site. In recent months Think Bingo, Think Bingo Plus and Bingo Scotland who are now all part of the Cashcade group also withdrew their free sign up bonus offers. Is this a sign of the times I asked myself? Is this good or bad for online bingo players? As always there are two sides to every coin, so I decided to take a look at just what they are relating to this debatable subject.

Since Foxy Bingo launched onto our computer screens 3 years ago they have heavily advertised their site both on TV and in papers, magazines etc and their pull to bring the players to their site was with their free £10 sign up no deposit offer, along with the face of foxy which was first (Jordan) aka Katie Price and now the Fox himself. This free offer must have done something right because Foxy Bingo are now one of the biggest online bingo sites on the net boasting 40 bingo rooms for players to choose from.

There are a few ways of looking at free sign up bonuses. For honest online bingo players they are a good way to be able to sign up at an online bingo site and take part in their games to see if they like playing their before depositing using their own money. Depending on the sites t&c’s this money cannot however be withdrawn but any winnings derived from it, usually can as long as the sites wagering requirements have been met, you may also have to make a small deposit to withdraw your money and this is put in place to try and stop players abusing the system, which really is fair enough.

However for the small minority of dishonest players out their they can abuse these bonuses by signing up at various online bingo sites in multiple names etc, claim their free money, play online bingo and then move on it they do not win, but if they do win using the free bonus money they was given on sign up then they will be winning a slice of your cash that you staked on that bingo game. So is this fair? I am not so sure.

If I was a new online bingo player looking to sign up at an online bingo site, I asked myself the question, would I sign up to Foxy Bingo now that they do not offer a free no deposit bingo bonus anymore on registration? The answer to that question was (Yes), and my reasoning behind my answer was that they are one of the best online bingo sites out there to play on along with Mecca Bingo, Gala Bingo Ladbrokes Bingo etc. They bring their players amazing jackpots and prizes to play for every week, they offer a huge array of bingo rooms to choose from and their first deposit bonuses and ongoing bonuses are really good, which will still give me lots of online bingo play for my money, plus their online bingo community is second to none.

Offering free money to players is a good way to get new players to sign up at their online bingo sites, but is just offering players first deposit bonuses the way to go? At least that way all players that are playing on that online bingo site would have had to have made a deposit into their account first to play there, which really seems fair for all. What do you think about free no deposit bingo bonuses? What makes you sign up at an online bingo site? Do you look for sites that offer you free money first before registering with them or is it the first deposit bonus offers you look for? i think it is only fair that players should get a chance to try out the bingo sites before they deposit although on the other side on one site i saw someone winning over 6k on their free bonus and they coudlnt withdraw it! generally if there is a free bonus i use this a little to see if i like the site then deposit straight away even just a tenner means the money can be withdrawn if u win big

I think bonuses are bad if you win on it and can't withdraw it.
