When logging onto Gala Bingo today I was greeted with this message, “Please accept our apologies, we are currently conducting essential maintenance on our site. Thank you for your patience.” This meant that their online bingo site was down and I was unable to log on and although this can be frustrating for bingo players, bingo sites just like any other sector have to carry our software upgrades and maintenance on their sites.
Although I must say, it is unusual for it to take place in the middle of the day as most bingo sites tend to do this in the during the early hours of a night when most of us are asleep, as it does not disrupt as many players, well that is the theory anyway. Gala Bingo did not seem to be down for too long though, because when I checked back just an hour later their site was back up and running again.
We all know that technical issues can strike when you least expect them to and it is always worthwhile bearing in mind that the bingo site does not want to be offline any more than you do, so just bear with them in the event of this happening and moaning about it is just not going to get you anywhere!
It was only the other month when we see all of the online bingo sites that run on GlobalCom software like Wink Bingo, Foxy Bingo, 888 Ladies Bingo, Think Bingo and so on, go down due to a power cut in Gibraltar and this was completely out of their control. Once again I am happy to say, this did not seem to last very long and from what I can recall Wink Bingo were very on the ball that night in keeping their players fully informed about just what was taking place and letting them know when their bingo site was back up.
