Although this banking advice is directly aimed primarily for Astro Bingo players, it may be worthwhile noting it down for any time you are adding a Visa credit or debit card as a payment method at any online bingo site.

When you are adding a Visa debit card to your online bingo account it is very important to determine whether it is a Maestro or Solo card, if you are unsure about this then you should contact your bank to make sure exactly what your card is.

So basically when you are adding your card onto your online bingo account and it is a Visa debit card, do not select the Visa credit card option, the selection you need to make is either Maestro or Solo depending on what your type card is. This can be quite an easy mistake to make and I have done this myself also, you see the Visa sign and simply click on that to add your card, assuming that you can add any Visa card onto it. The trouble is, the payment provider allows you to still add the card, so you think nothing of it as you are still able to fund your account from adding your card this way.

The problem with this is, the system interprets your card as a credit card and as such any withdrawal requests you may make at Astro Bingo will be met with a longer turnaround time and instead of your money being refunded directly back to your debit card, you will have to wait for a cheque to be sent out from the payment provider.

This means you will be waiting a lot longer to receive you money, and that really is not good for us bingo players. If you follow this advice then hopefully you should never have a problem and any winnings you may have will automatically be refunded back to your Visa debit card.
