Countdown’s Carol Vorderman was due to take part in a great charity event that Mirror Bingo held at their online bingo site in aid of the (Children with Leukaemia) charity in June of this year, but due to work commitments, Carol was unable to make it on the night. Mirror Bingo raised £13,000 for the children with Leukaemia charity when this event took place, and other celebs that also lent their support on the night were GMTV’s Fiona Phillips and Linda Robson. Carol Vorderman is also the presenter for the “Pride of Britain” awards and this is the 10th year of this prolific event that awards real life people for some extraordinary things.  The pride of Britain winners, are renowned for being selfless, caring and courageous people that make the world a better place to live in.
