Three lucky bingo players had just won more than £11,000 each on the National Bingo jackpot game after they all called house in 45 numbers on this game in their respective bingo clubs. The National Jackpot prize for the evening stood at £30,354 and was split equally amongst the three bingo winners.
One of the lucky winners was a 20 year old unemployed woman from Bristol. The lucky lady was playing at her local Mecca Bingo hall in Barton Hill when her numbers came in on the national jackpot bingo game and is has been stated that she is now looking forwards to a big shopping spree after winning more than £11,000!
Just a couple of weeks ago the woman won a house jackpot prize of a very nice £500, so lady luck certainly seems to be shining her way at the moment. This is what she told the national gaming body after she realised just how much she had won: “I just wanted to cry when I realised how much I’d won,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it and I just sat there in a daze.”
The lady has been playing bingo since she was 18 and she intends to share her win with her dad, sister and her dad’s friend her were with her on the night. Her win was made up as follows, first she won the national jackpot prize of £10,118, plus the regional prize of 1,091 and Mecca Bingo's own in house prize of £186, which gave her total winning for a night out at the bingo of £11,395!
It certainly seemed Mecca Bingo's night for dishing out the big national game wins as it was the Mecca Bingo club in Bridgewater that housed one of the other jackpot winners on the night. A lucky pensioner is now more than £11,000 richer thanks to playing at the Mecca Bingo Club in Penel Orlieu.
Mecca’s duty manager on the night, Lee Rothery, had this to say about their lucky bingo winner: “The lucky man said he was ‘absolutely gobsmacked’ by his big win. He really didn’t know what to say,” said Lee. We’re always pleased when a regular customer wins a large amount of money.” The national gaming body also reported that the lucky man has been a member of the Mecca Bingo club since 1992 and normally plays their three times a week.
The other lucky winner on the night came from the Edinburgh area and they also picked up national jackpot bingo game winnings of more than £11,000!
