The Mecca Bingo Club in Monmouth Walk, Cwmbran is proving to be a very lucky place to play bingo for one lucky pensioner, because they have just landed themselves another great jackpot bingo prize for the second time this year!
The lucky lady has been playing bingo for over 42 years and used to play at Mecca Bingo where she lives in Pontypool until it was closed down. She then joined up at her next nearest Mecca Bingo that is situated in Cwmbran, where she now enjoys a game of bingo at least 4 times a week.
Back in January the 77 year old pensioner won a great jackpot prize of £1,000, but she has now top that amount of cash in her latest win 26 times over as the luck lady has just hit the big Jackpot Prize whilst playing the National Bingo Game of a very nice £26,000! The lady has been married for 59 years and has two children and seven grandchildren, who I am sure will now be in for a few special treats!
This is the lady’s quote that she gave to the National Gaming body after her great bingo win: “I’m still feeling a bit numb but it’s great,” she said. I’m going to share some with the grandchildren but I don’t know yet what else I’m going to do with it. There’s not much we want really. We’ve never had much but we’re not hungry, we have a roof over our heads and we don’t owe anyone anything. Maybe I’ll just put some away for our old age.”
First of all she picked up the National Bingo Game prize of £25,000 after calling house in just 41 numbers on this great game, which was the lowest call out of all the 270 participating bingo clubs, and we all know it is not just the National Jackpot prize you win when your numbers roll in on this game, so the lucky gran also won the games Regional prize of £1,753, plus Mecca Bingos own in house prize of £89.
This gave the lady just under £27,000 for a night out at her local Mecca Bingo!
