Largely due to the acquisition of the Cashcade group earlier in 2009, bingo sales are up from $2 million dollars last year to $13.2 million for PartyGaming the brand behind Party Bingo, Party Poker and Party Casino. However whilst online bingo was on the up and up, overall PartyGaming reported that their figures were down by 4% (year on year) for their third quarter, although this did run in line with their expectations.

PartyGaming have stated that the integration of Cashcade into their company was progressing well and why not as they are the figurehead behind some of the biggest names in the online bingo business, such as Foxy Bingo, Think Bingo, Bingo Scotland, Little Big Bingo and the all new free bingo sensation Cheeky Bingo.

Despite the economic downturn in the UK online bingo has remained one of the most thriving industries with player numbers and new online bingo sites continuing to grow. The way the game of bingo online is now played has shifted towards the free bingo market, but it has to be said this has not been great news to some bingo ears.

The casino side of PartyGaming also held its own with a rise of 2% in revenues, but their flagship brand ‘Party Casino’ were down by around 8%. Poker remains one of the most competitive markets both online/offline, but Jim Ryan, Chief Executive of PartyGaming said he believed that poker has reach a bottom and their company should start to see growth in this division.

All said and done it is thought PartyGaming remain on the right path to achieve a full year’s earnings, before tax, interest and depreciation.  At present all previously own cashcade online bingo sites run on globalcom bingo software, which is provided for them by 888.com, however this could change in the not so distant future as it is thought that PartyGaming have already commissioned new bingo software to be developed which could see all former cashcade bingo sites moved to.

By the looks of things PartyGaming made a smart move in the buyout of Cashcade, so things are certainly going in the right direction for them.
