The National Bingo games platinum jackpot has just produced another millionaire bingo winner on Sunday night! A 64 year old lady’s life has now changed forever after she scooped a whopping £1,023,353 at her local Gala Bingo hall. The lady who comes from the Basildon area asked not to be named is still said to be in total shock and in oar of her amazing one million pound bingo win!
On the last Sunday of every month, the platinum jackpot play offs come into play on the national bingo game, which means whatever the jackpot stands at on this night it will be won by whatever lucky bingo player calls up on this game in the least amount of calls throughout all the participating bingo halls in the country. The lady was widowed twelve years ago, but in a nice twist of fate, she met her partner at Gala Bingo just three years ago. They always used to play bingo together but unfortunately the gentleman is waiting for a heart operation at the moment, so he usually drops her of and picks her up when she has finished playing bingo.
Although the lucky lady asked for her name to be keep out of the press, she did speak to the national gaming body after her spectacular bingo win and had this to say –

As the lady was still in a state of shock, she phoned her partner from Gala Bingo, “I telephoned him after the win and said I have won an awful lot of money, you had better come down now. Then I put the phone down so he couldn’t ask how much and burst into tears. I asked the member of staff who waited for him to break the news very gently because of his heart condition. The family will benefit of course,” she said, “and we will have a decent holiday once his operation is over. The money will sit in the bank while we decide what to do with it.”
The lady has a one daughter of her own and three grandchildren and her partner has two children.
Bob Sidlow, who is the assistant manager at Gala Bingo, had this to say about their one million pound bingo winner, “There was an amazing atmosphere in the club when we announced how much she had won. Everyone was pleased for the winner and clapping and cheering. It was marvelous to see so much goodwill for her. It is fantastic for the Club as well.”
