Play Mecca BingoMecca Bingo are at the forefront of hosting one of the biggest ever fundraising events across 101 fellow bingo clubs that are situated throughout the country. On 8th August Mecca Bingo in Bridgewater will be staging a big charity fundraiser all day long in the aid of a great children’s charity called the Whizz Kids and they will be showing Shea’s spaceship which is a heartfelt dvd produced by the charity which features shea’s story and how their life has changed for the better since receiving much needed help and mobility equipment from the charity.

Each bingo club that is taking part in this massive charity fundraiser has set themselves a target amount of cash to raise each and the Mecca Bingo chain have already pledge to raise at least £250,000 for the Whizz Kids charity during 2008 and they aim to achieve this through their land based bingo halls and their online bingo site.  Even though the Bingo industry have been going through some extremely turbulent times lately Mecca Bingo have never lost sight of trying to help people that need it the most and the best way they can achieve this is by holding some great charity events at their bingo clubs.

The general manager for Mecca in Bridgwater, Jenny Witcombe, had this to say about their charity fundraiser that is due to take place on Friday “Our customers and staff have already responded magnificently to the challenge of raising money for this fantastic charity and we are all committed to smashing our target by the end of the year. This special day will really set us up for the next five months and we are really looking forward to it.”

There are lots of special events lined up to take place during the day and the Mecca Bingo club in Bridgewater are also set to reveal just how much they have raised so far for this great children’s charity. The Whizz Kids charity is all about trying to give disabled children a much more independent life through support and providing them with much needed mobility equipment. Their charity are virtually 100% reliant on donations made by the public and charity events taking place in their name, plus support of trusts and companies such as Mecca Bingo.
