Two lucky ladies have just won over £18,000 a piece in their respective Gala Bingo and Place Bingo clubs after hitting the jackpot prize on the National Bingo Game on the same night and sharing the prize money between them! A 36 year old lady from Scotland has been left bewildered by her big bingo win and a 69 year old pensioner from Great Yarmouth is now planning a holiday thanks to hitting the jackpot on what must be one of the biggest bingo games to play anywhere in the world!
The lucky lady from Gt Yarmouth has been playing bingo for many years, she is married with four children and nine grandchildren, her biggest previous bingo win to date was a £500 house win, but she can now add over £18,000 to that list! She spoke to the national gaming body after her great bingo win and this is what she told them. “I was very pleased when I thought I’d just won the house prize,” she said. “To win the National was a big shock. I couldn’t believe it.” A holiday abroad is now on the cards for the lady and it has been said that she will be saving the rest for a rainy day!
The lady from Glasgow was left shocked by her bingo win at her local Gala Bingo club and she even said that she won’t quite believe that she has won this huge cash sum until the money hits her bank account. She normally plays bingo at Gala Bingo twice a week with her dad, but on the night of her big national bingo game jackpot win her dad was not with her. The lady who works as a cashier in a supermarket, is married with one child and had this to say. “It doesn’t seem real yet but it’s absolutely fantastic!”
Both ladies called up on the national bingo jackpot game in 43 numbers, so they shared this huge cash prize of £32,724 equally between them, which gave them £16,363 each. They both also picked up the regional cash prizes from their regions and the house prize’s in their respective bingo clubs, so they both ended up with bingo winnings totalling just over £18,000! A night out at the bingo certainly proved lucky for both these ladies and they can now enjoy a few treats thanks to striking it big whilst playing bingo!
