The old saying “Beginners Luck” has struck again for one very lucky 49 year old man from Hull. Paul Smith only joined his local Mecca Bingo Club in January and already he is celebrating with a fantastic £24,000 National Bingo Game jackpot win.
Paul and his girlfriend Tracy Millington only started going to bingo for something to do in the evenings and they usually only play once a fortnight, which makes this great bingo win all the more luckier for them. They were both playing bingo at their local Mecca Bingo on 14th March when they hit the jackpot and this is how Paul’s great bingo win was made up.
The National Bingo Game jackpot prize for the evening stood at £62,100 and was shared by three lucky players from around the UK when they all called up house on this game in 44 numbers. So along with Paul in Hull, one lucky player in Sunderland and Chester all won a slice of this great National game prize. Paul’s share of the jackpot was a very nice £20,700 added on also was the regional prize of £3,262, plus the Mecca Bingo in house prize for the evening of £286, giving Paul winnings of over £24,000 for a night out at Mecca Bingo with his girlfriend!
Paul is a partner in a coach company and this is what he had to say about his great bingo win: “I couldn’t believe it when they told me how much I won. We only started going for something to do in the evenings. I was in real shock and Tracy burst into tears. Everyone in the club was really nice and we had a bit of a hangover the next day from celebrating.”
Paul also said that he is going to spend some of his winnings on a new car as he currently owns a 16 seater coach. This great bingo win looks like it is certainly going to come in handy for Paul and his girlfriend and what a huge win he has had from only playing bingo since January of this year.
When playing bingo online or at a land based club I have witnessed beginners luck striking many times and this is one saying that I really believe does come true for lots of lucky bingo players out there!
