On 8th August Mecca Bingo in Bridgewater will be staging a big charity fundraiser all day long in the aid of a great children’s charity called the Whizz Kids and they will be showing Shea’s spaceship which is a heartfelt dvd produced by the charity which features shea’s story and how their life has changed for the better since receiving much needed help and mobility equipment from the charity. |

A lucky 64 year old grandmother from Coventry has just received a spectacular early birthday present after winning over half a million pounds on the National Bingo games Platinum Jackpot. The lady will be 65 this month and she will certainly be celebrating her birthday in style thanks to this massive jackpot bingo win. She will also be sharing her £578,000 cash prize with her younger sister, who she plays bingo with each week at their local Gala Savoy Bingo Club, in Radford Road, Coventry. |

Mecca Bingo are about to introduce more Costa Coffee outlets in their land based bingo halls throughout the county. Costa have already opened up five such outlets in Mecca Bingo clubs, which include one in Hamilton and Glasgow, but more are now set to open up in many more of their bingo clubs very soon. Mecca Bingo will manage the stands themselves through an agreement that has been reached with Costa owners Whitbread. |

The popular deluxe bingo hall that is located on the bottom floor of the Palace Hotel in Southend has had its doors padlocked by bailiffs leaving bingo players in complete shock, as there was no indication that the bingo hall was about to shut down. The Bailiffs also left a note on the bingo halls doors warning the stylus sports group not try and gain entry into the building as any attempt to do this could lead to them being prosecuted. |

Foxy Bingo is the latest online bingo operator to find their TV advert being scrutinized by the Adverting Standards Authority (ASA) after a complaint was made by a viewer who believed that their ad would appeal to children as the main character in their ad was a fox. Their ad has now been given the all clear by the ASA, but the same cannot be said for William Hills or Camelot’s Bingo adverts as they were both made to remove them from TV viewing in their current forms. |
