It has been widely reported, that is not just us ordinary folk that like a game of bingo as a lot of stars like to play also, so how strange would it be to have a close relative of the President of the United States having a game of bingo from the Whitehouse?
It is now a possibility as bingo lover Kezia Obama, who currently lives in Bracknell is the stepmother to the Democratic hopeful Barack Obama, and he still remains a frontrunner to take over from George Bush at the Whitehouse as President of the United State of America.
Now you may think that this does sound very unlikely, but as the race for the election hots up and with Baracks family guy image, which really has won over a lot of voters, you just never know what is going to happen in this great election race.
Kezia Obama, lives a quite life in Bracknell and many of her neighbours don’t even know that she is related to such a public figure. She has lived in England for many years and spends a lot of her time socialising and playing bingo in the Berkshire town. She likes to keep up to date with all her stepsons activates over in America and has been known to sit up to the early hours keeping up with events. Here is what she has to say -
"When your stepson has a chance of being the President of the United States, it's so exciting you have to watch it," she said.
Kezia has been watching proudly as her stepson is trying to fulfil his American dream. They first meet back in 1985 when he visited her in her home village of Alego in Kenya and she said "He looked so much like his father and they had the same bubbly personalities. You could tell even then that he was going to be something special, he had such a presence about him. He wanted to experience his heritage first-hand and see where the family came from. He was sometimes quiet and often deep in thought, but there was always the sense of humour. He could easily have forgotten all about his Kenyan family, but he has kept in touch. We feel part of his family and he feels the same about us. I pray every night that he becomes president because it's what he wants," she said. "I think he would be a good president, he will bring everyone in America closer together. But whatever happens, he will always be my stepson and I'll always love him.''
Bingo touches the lives of lots of people no matter where they are from or even how important they are.
