Best wishes to JackpotJoy for winning the eGaming Awards’ Bingo Operator of the Year award.
To their real credit JackpotJoy beat a number of top online bingo halls to gain the prestigious industry honour.
Just to remind everyone, the eGaming Review Industry Awards are now in their third year and have very quickly established themselves as an extremely respected measure of excellence within the industry.
In other categories, online gambling company Betfair earned the highest prize at this year’s eGaming Awards as Operator of the Year.
Also joining Betfair, sharing the prizes, was Everest Poker, which won the Poker Operator of the Year and 888 which took away the Casino Operator of the Year Award.
Do you know that Betfair now boasts in excess of one million registered customers with the number of active users totaling over 443,300.
Naturally, a fair number of online bingo halls and online bingo providers were dramatically affected by losses in revenue due to the US’ UIGEA law, which decimated the online gambling industry. But not Betfair, as it did not take on US customers before the implementation of the law.
The result being that Betfair remained unaffected with regard to its revenue – a result unfortunately that both its rivals, PartyGaming and 888.com did not share.
