Gamble Aware To Help Online Bingo Players

One of the major concerns of the new gambling laws is to promote socially responsible gaming. This means that many provisions of the law are aimed at protecting underage and vulnerable people from gambling.

Children can gamble without too much trouble by using their parents’ credit cards and there were also gaming machines in places that were reachable by children before September 1st.  The new law required the removal of such machines. Gambling companies who obtain licenses must prove that there are mechanisms in place to identify underage gamblers and prevent them from gambling.

The Gamble Aware website (www.gambleaware.co.uk) has announced that they will try to help teens who have gambling problems and will try to educate them about the problems of gambling addiction. The site, the product of a special task force of university and government staff, attempts to teach how gambling works, what responsible gambling is, and offers assistance in identifying at-risk people through a self-assessment mechanism on the site. Explaining how to identify problems, the site provides links to other sites where help organisations are located.

The liberalisation of the gambling law has lead to a great deal of concern about the issue of problem gambling and this site is one of the attempts to deal with the problem.  It is administered by a charitable organisation that is concerned with funding treatment of gambling problems and providing education about gambling issues. The intent of the site is to teach teens responsible gambling and to try to prevent problems of gambling addiction.  Many online bingo and gambling sites will provide a link to Gamble Aware for their patrons.
